Discount Cimarron 70 foot x 12 foot x 12 foot Batting Cage Net & Frame Kit
If you are looking for the best value in a home batting cage, look no further. This 70' L x 12' W x 12' H Cimarron Batting Cage Kit is the most economical way of putting up a real, steel frame batting cage in your backyard.
These batting cage kits include a twisted poly net in your choice of net strength. These nets do not shrink or absorb water and are constructed of twisted knotted twine which makes them very strong. Each fiber is treated with TWO chemicals to protect the premium polymer blend (polyethylene) against the sun and enables the netting to retain its strength for a longer period of time. The net includes an entry door for easy access to the cage and, because the legs are equipped with rubber end caps, this batting cage can be used both indoor and outdoor.
The reason these Cimarron batting cage kits are so inexpensive is that they do not include the support poles. This cuts the material costs down a good bit but it also severely slashes the cost of shipping which, alone, adds $250-$300 to the price of full kits that include all of the poles. Not only that, but because the poles and the significant extra weight aren't included, the packages don't need any type of fork lift, lift gate or freight ramp in order to receive the shipment. So, it's up to you; if you'd rather pay an extra $600 because you don't feel like making a trip to the hardware store and think you'll have no problem moving a 400 pound box, buy a complete steel batting cage kit that includes all of the poles.
Best of all, the net has a 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty and the rest of the kit is covered by a 1 Year Warranty. Better still, the kit comes with a 31 day Satisfaction Guarantee (see warranty tab, above for details).
You can purchase the support poles needed to complete your batting cage from a local hardware store for about $12 apiece. You will need 38 10 foot EMT 1 1/4" steel conduit posts to assemble your batting cage, so the approximate additional cost should be about $455. The SKU numbers and online links for common local hardware stores where you can purchase the required metal conduit posts are:
Lowes: Metal EMT 10-ft Metal Conduit - 1 1/4 inch (SKU #72717)
The Home Depot: Metal EMT 10-ft Metal Conduit - 1 1/4 inch (SKU #580023)
Please Note: Once assembled, this frame will not stay upright during high winds. It is an extremely good idea to further stabilize your batting cage frame during light and moderate winds with stakes. We do not sell them but there are various stake options at places like Home Depot, such as these.
